New President Appointed – 08/17/2023
Welcome Neal Scharmer
I was appointed President of the Association by the Board at the regular August meeting. My wife, Kathy, and have owned a cabin on Girl Lake since 2015 and have enjoyed the natural wonder of the area not only during the warm(er) weather months, but also when blanketed with snow. I am a Minnesota native who migrated back from Iowa when I retired in 2022. We are now active members of the Longville community.
I hope to continue the tradition of strong leadership for the Association as we collectively strive to preserve and improve our water resources, shoreline and overall lake experience. I believe the Board is populated with knowledgeable and committed members, but realize that we can only be our best with assistance from committed volunteers. I urge you to reach out to me or your lake representatives with your concerns, thoughts or initiatives for allowing the Association to follow through our mission. We are all volunteers and the Board welcomes your participation.
