Our Association invites you to our Volunteer Appreciation Dinner.

Each year the association hosts an appreciation dinner for the members that volunteer their time during the summer to help the association.  This dinner is open to the entire membership.  It is a nice social evening in which one can renew old friendships and also meet people who live on our lakes.  We start the evening with a social hour, then a dinner, a short recognition of the volunteers, and finish with more social time.

Our dinner will take place at Patrick’s in Longville on Thursday night the 7th of September.  We will start with a social hour from 5:30 to 7:00 with the dinner to follow.  The dinner will be quarter chicken and half rack of ribs, baked potato and tossed salad. The cost will be $26.50 per person which includes coffee, gratuity and tax.

If you are one our valued volunteers your meal will be paid for by the association. We appreciate the time and energy you put forth for the membership.  You are welcome to bring your spouse or a friend and the cost for them will be $26.50.  Please have a check or cash ready to give to our treasurer Terry Fay as you come in the door.  Make the check out to Child, Girl & Woman Lakes Area Association.  Make your reservation early so that you will not be left out.

The association pays for the number of meals that we order.

No shows will cost us.

The annual meeting of your Lake Association has been set for Saturday August 5th at 10 am at the Woodrow Township Hall – 1133 County Road 11.

Rob Robasco from the Minnesota DNR Loon Restoration Project.

MPCA Get the Lead Out

Lead free fishing tackle kits will be available in exchange for lead tackle

Door Prizes:

• 7’x6’ loon floatie
• Signed copies of “Loon Lessons” by James Paruk
• Loon wine glasses, posters and much more!

As in the past we will have handouts from each committee and our financial records available. The committees: Water Patrol, Aquatic Invasive Species, Fisheries, Membership, Road Signs, Water Quality, Newsletter & Conservation/Stewardship will have updates on what they have been doing for you this past year.

Mark your calendar for August 5th at 10 in the morning and plan on attending your association annual meeting. Come early and enjoy visiting with board members and friends. Coffee and donuts will be provided.
